Warning: photo geek-out alert!

Polanoid just announced that the SX-70 film is back!

With amazing support from the Polaroid company we managed to make a dream come true and to develop a complete new film based on 600 integral film.
This is the first time in the long history of Polaroid that such a cooperation took place and we are very proud to announce this breathtaking film to the world exclusively through unsaleable.com.

SX-70 blend features a variety of astonishing and totally unique features.

First of all a completely new chemistry provides outstanding colour performance beautifully balanced saturation and brighter whites.
Moreover we reproduced the original SX-70 cartridge and inserted a high quality ND filter on top of it for the use in SX-70 cameras without the need of any changes to the camera.

The signature characteristics of SX-70 Blend are different from both the original SX-70 film and regular 600 film. The special "blue-blend" reagent of the SX-70 BLEND yields strong and absolutely fascinating results - which are more vibrant and interesting than anything that Polaroid has ever produced so far.

Last but not least, we celebrated the comeback of SX-70 with a splendid package design, based on the very first SX-70 film package from 1972, as a tribue to Polaroid's great designer Paul Giambarba.

I need to get away from them for a little while so that I can start to love this city again.

I have been hearing rumours about some construction being planned on Comm Ave for a few days. Today BU published a little press release announcing that the long-planned restoration project is finally underway. BU released some sketches back in June that look really great. I only hope that they don't ruin it by being cheap -- like they did w/ that eye-sore "Hotel Commonwealth."

I want it. Bad. It will go perfectly w/ my 18-70mm Nikkor kit lens that Ned bought for me. Sigh. If I wasn't also lusting after a new MacBook and a scanner etc. etc. then I'd probably start a savings account. I'm looking forward to some reviews so if you read any, please send them my way.

I'd like to make a formal complaint against the New York Times online. I just tried to read this article but was stopped. Not by some physical force or by a slow connection. Rather, I was stopped by the incredibly obnoxious Ralph Lauren ad that covered the ENTIRE article. The ad had no "click here to get me the f*ck off this article" link and if you click anywhere NEAR the damn thing, it forwards you to the Ralph Lauren paint website. Now that's got to be far more interesting than any article I was going to read.

So I say, thanks NY Times. Thanks for making it THAT much easier for me to just get my information from google news and be done with you once and for all. Keep on making these anachronistic decisions that are escalating your slide into extinction. Block your best content behind a subscription fee so noone reads it. Put obnoxious ads all over your free content so that it's too annoying to deal with. Keep on, keepin' on man. It's clearly working.
