Pixies @ Paradise
Well kids, get out your jealousy caps cuz I've got somethin' to tell ya...
A few days ago, Ned and I heard on the radio that the Pixies were playing the Paradise Rock Club for a measly $15 this coming Monday (today) and that the tix would go on sale day of at the box office. "Lucky me," I thought, "I work just down the street!"
Well, last night I got a phone call from a friend telling me that those lying bastards put the tix up for sale on Sunday (yesterday) from 2-5pm. After some stomping around, we found out that there were supposedly 50 tickets left. Of course, being the responsible manager that I am, I ordered my friend/staff to go down to the box office this morning at 9am to wait in line (but I joined her at 10)! She was 6th in line and I was about 15th -- by noon there was probably 70 people waiting and it was really, really hot out.
But long story longer, I got 2 tickets (max per person allowed) and we're going in less than 3 hours! The best part is that the show is being taped for a DVD - so keep your eyes peeled for a couple of girls playing hooky from their cubicles...
