The Best Worst Day

I was really feeling bad for myself this morning... I've had a wicked bad head cold for the past few days complete with killer sinus pressure, uncontrollable post-nasal drip, and a hacking cough that would make an empysemic smoker jealous. Anyway, I got into work and it was already 80 degrees in my office. I prepped for and gave a mediocre training session and then hussled into a staff meeting with all of my bosses (dripping w/ sweat).

By some great moment of good karma, the big wig upstairs interrupted our meeting to tell us that we could close the office due to the a/c issues. THANK YOU! We all knew that he caved because every other floor in the building had sent their people home hours ago.

To make matters even better, as I walked out of the office I was informed that everyone was going across the street for a drink -- on our boss's tab! How great is that? A day starts off with a head cold and an office the temperature of an oven, and somehow you end up drinking a free margarita at 2pm!
