FINISHED!: Lost iPod Returned
Yesterday I finished my final exam for my final class of the semester, which means I have 35 days until I return to hell. I feel about 100 lbs lighter and slightly brain dead...
But a far more interesting thing happened to me this week. I went into my classroom Monday evening a little early and found a brand new color screen iPod, complete with bad music and REALLY embarrasing photos on it. Being the good person that I am, I emailed the professor who held class before ours and... long story short... we found the owner.
Now, in my head this would have been a lovely moment--the student would have been up half the night crying over the lost iPod, hating themselves for losing such an expensive item... and then they would have received the email from their professor, suddenly realizing that all was not lost!
I don't mean to say that I needed a reward or anything, but I was looking for that sparkle of gratefulness in her eye. Instead, I got a rich bitch who said: "Oh thanks! You're, like, my best friend. I had NO idea where it had gone." Who then twirled on her high heel out of my office.
